The Ebelfestival is held in the town of Ebeltoft throughout week 42. This is traditionally a holiday week in Denmark.

The Ebelfestival Association organises this, which is a culinary and cultural festival.

Apples are the overwhelming theme as the town’s name, Ebeltoft, is translated into “Plot of land with apple trees”.

Over 150 volunteers work during the year on the  preparations that result in many activities and experiences.

During this week it is not uncommon for over 70.000 guests to enjoy the delights of Ebeltoft and its festival.

The Festival has many locations and events, including great offers from the town’s shops, and many stall holders offering various goods and some very fine tastings of food, wine and beverages in the streets and squares.

The town is adorned beautifully with many apples.

The streets and alleys are alive with music and activities, including lectures and theatre performances.
